Connections & Creativity: An Evening at Eternity

If you know me, you know I love the magic that happens when people step away from their screens and gather around a table. At Flour & Oil, my goal has always been to create “social feasts”—high-energy experiences where strangers arrive with a bit of hesitation but leave as lifelong friends.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of attending a networking evening in a beautiful home/venue in Yzerfontein that perfectly captured this spirit.

The night was hosted by the remarkable Denise Cowburn-Levy. As a fellow chef and the author of the gorgeous cookbook “Around My Table”, Denise is a true kindred spirit. She curated a warm and comfortable space for local entrepreneurs and businesses to connect.

The venue, Eternity on Dassen Island Road, took my breath away. It is an ethereal, “barefoot luxe” space that feels like a sanctuary. With Chef Cobus Bekker providing a lovely spread, I found myself looking around and thinking, “This is exactly where Flour & Oil belongs.”

Between the stunning kitchen and that sunset deck, Eternity is the dream location for our next Flour & Oil event. Whether you are planning an intimate date night, a joyful family occasion, or a high-energy business team build, this space will make it feel like a holiday. Plus, for those coming from afar, there is world-class accommodation just a stone’s throw away.
